Food & Drink Course
Over the past 40 years, I have photographed food and drink for many famous brands and I really enjoy the challenge of building a team of people, reading a client brief and assembling props before the food shoot can begin. Take a look at my commercial food page here and you will see some of my work and view behind the scenes. Food photography is an excellent way to learn about lighting, depth of field (we learn all about this is during the camera basics module) and can be carried out in studio, or on location. These days, you don’t need a great deal of equipment to start taking great food photographs - often a well lit area near a window will be ideal and I can show you plenty of food styling tips that I have picked up from my stylist colleagues over the years. If you run a restaurant, hotel or bar and are considering some professional photography for your new menu or website, then I throughly recommend including some of your staff via our Hire and Learn module. Even if they decide to continue using their iPhones for food and drink photography, they will learn how to take better food and drink photographs, that will attract the attention of the discerning customer. In my opinion good food and drink photography is an investment in your brand. Let me show you what I mean.
