Aerial Photography
Helicopter aerial photography in Northamptonshire
Ideal for large areas of development land, construction sites and warehouse buildings where we need to fly between 500ft and 5000ft. For small projects with a legal ceiling of 400ft, please see our drone services.
We are specialists in aerial photography and just 3 miles from Sywell Aerodrome, we are ideally situated to respond to you requirements at a moment's notice. Aerial photography is a combination of careful planning, understanding of the weather and air law, a skilful pilot and a highly experienced photographer.
For the past 40 years, we have specialised in aerial photography, teaming up with some of the country's best helicopter companies to provide you with unrivalled views of your business premises or land. Once commissioned, we will go through a careful process to ensure your photography is legal, safe and a cost effective route for the flight to take place.
The next stage is to select a 'weather window' for your photography, which will provide us with clear conditions and we will often have a back-up day allocated, should the weather change. On the day, we will meet with the pilot and discuss the flight plan and the photographs that we plan to take to ensure everyone is aware what needs to be achieved once airborne. Depending on the budget and type of aircraft selected, we often take our customers along with us, providing you with an iPad so you can view the images as they are taken, giving you the opportunity to ensure the correct angles have been covered before we progress. Although helicopters are more expensive to use than fixed wing aircraft, we believe that we can achieve better photographs, often in a shorter space of time. The other big advantage is that we can hover over the site to achieve the exact angle (useful for progress photography) and can even fly backwards if required! This is certainly not possible in a small plane.
““Charles is a highly experienced aerial photographer and never fails to deliver exactly the right angles of our commercial sites around the country. We have tried fixed wing in the past, but do agree that it is worth paying the extra for a helicopter and we love coming along for the ride!””
